We had initially thought to build a lean-to out of books, like a tiny hut in which to shelter and read, but as we walked the site, our minds wandered too. The discarded books we intended to use spoke volumes even as their voices were silenced. Other artists have responded to the site with work that is quietly reflective, such as these installations in 'bewilderness' by Dan Nuttall. The pine forest shushes. |
